Prepare for the Arrival of Your Little One with Pre- and Post-Natal Rehab!

Are you currently expecting a child? For many women, pregnancy is an exciting time, however, the body is going through a lot of changes as it grows into a new little person! These modifications typically include changes in posture, increased pelvic floor loads, and ligament stretching and thickening.

These changes in the body can also cause back pain and pelvic floor issues, as well as muscle weakness, which may lead to urinary incontinence and difficulties triggering the core muscles.

Pregnancy is a normal part of life, however, it can be made much more comfortable with prenatal and postnatal therapy. At PacificPro Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, we combine therapies such as massage therapy and pelvic floor therapy to help make pregnancy and childbirth as smooth as possible.

At our Southern California and Tennessee physical therapy clinics, our goal is to prepare your body for the journey ahead, so that you can concentrate on getting ready to welcome your new baby into this world.

Whether you are an expectant mother or one who has recently given birth, don’t hesitate to contact us at PacificPro Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine today! We will help make your pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum recovery as easy for you as possible.

Our Clients Get Great Results!

Rujuta and the entire team at Pacific Pro are amazing. I started working with Rujuta in my third trimester to address hip and pelvis pain, and from our very first consultation, I felt completely at ease. She listened to my concerns and tailored each session to my needs. I saw noticeable progress right away. Rujuta’s expertise in working with pregnant women even impressed my OB at Cedars-Sinai, who plans to refer other patients to her. I highly recommend Rujuta and the Pacific Pro team for anyone in need of physical therapy—especially for pregnant women!

– Katie G.

After struggling with low back pain for over a year, I started treatment at PacificPro and within three months, I was pain-free. Their expert care kept me pain-free throughout my pregnancy, and even the cold season didn’t bring back my pain. Rujuta and Hayley are amazing—knowledgeable, hands-on, and always ensuring I’m progressing. I also returned for wrist treatment, and after just a few weeks, my tendinitis is already much better. I 1000% recommend PacificPro Corona for anyone seeking PT!

Physical therapy can help with scarring

By incorporating physical therapy in your prenatal and postnatal care, you will be better prepared for one of the greatest challenges in your life: delivering and caring for an infant.

It’s very common for pregnancy to result in scarring due to episiotomies C-sections. This can trigger restrictions in the myofascial system of the body. When you try to move, this may result in a reduced range of motion or unpleasant sensations and pain.

Our physical therapists use unique myofascial and scar-release strategies to remove these limitations and avoid further compromising of the myofascial system.

Some women can also experience diastasis recti, also known as abdominal separation. Diastasis recti may impede abdominal muscle strengthening and result in what some refer to as a post-pregnancy “pooch.”

Our therapists can diagnose and treat your Pre/Post-natal Pain using the strongest evidence-based clinical knowledge available!

We carry out our treatment plans with compassion, concern, and understanding, so you can be confident that no matter what stage of your pregnancy you are in, we will take care of you and do all we can to ensure the best possible outcome!

Physical therapy can make your pregnancy and delivery easier

Within 6 weeks of giving birth, several new moms start seeing a physical therapist, and some even earlier!
